We are in the process of moving to new servers and a new datacentre. This is a newer facility, and in the process we are making our infrastructure more reliable. There may be some disruption, but we will do our best to keep it as unobtrusive as possible. Please let us know if you see anything unexpected, or run into any problems. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

The squirrelmail web interface (via https://secure.syonex.com/ now allows you to compose messages in HTML format.
Shared SSL Pages
Shared SSL (HTTPS) web pages are now available for shared hosting customers. Contact us if you’re interested.
Greylisting Software Updated
The postgrey greylisting software was updated, which also updates the greylisting “whitelist” for sites that don’t respond well to greylisting. (Greylisting is one of the spam-fighting tools we use.)
Whois Privacy now available for domains
We can now provide “whois privacy” for most domains, so that the name and contact information for a domain is not publicly visible.
Spam Blocking Updated
The spam-blocking software has recently been updated to provide better results. We now use FuzzyOCR to try and recognize spam inside images, and the spam blocking rules are now automatically updated every day.
Web Mail Configuration Change
The web mail interface configuration was updated to use a default “To” domain other than syonex.com. Now, if you accidentally forget the domain name when sending mail, the default domain will be “you_forget_to_add_the_domain.com” which should bounce back to you, rather that going to a syonex.com user.
